Def Leppard have seen there fair share of good times, but they have also seen their fare share of bad times. Their drummer lost his left arm in a car crash just as they were about to really hit is big (as funnily enough they did) then... one of the bands founders and lead guitarist Steve Clark, decided he didn't like Rock anymore so left to be the front man in a low key Jamaican Jazz Fusion band (though most people still think he died). Through though all this turbulence Def Leppard have now settled down. No one in the group has dies recently and all is well. They are proudly standing strong fighting the ever worsening world culture which ever so often tries to demean them. Though songs like 'Demolition Man' (which is off there most recent album) make it quite clear that they are not willing to lie down and take it up the 6 string. All bass picking aside though, Def Leppard rock, and for those of us who haven't got bored of 'Animal' yet... long live 'Animal' and for those who have... long live 'Hysteria'. Anyway I think I shall end with these words of wisdom once spoken my Joe Elliot himself (Def's front man). "I wrote Animal hoping to create a typical Def Leppard sound, which would help me remember what a typical Def Leppard sound was. So in the future when we can't sell albums, we can go back and listen to it, and figure it all out again." Joe Elliot 1991 Not a bad idea really, though my question is... why haven't you gone back and listened to it yet? Also I will soon be posting a competition for all of you to guess what the next Def Leppard album will be called. Here is a few I thought of... Paranoia, Amnesia, Indonesia and Aphasia. If you can't wait for the competition, then just email mail me and I'll send you something. HERE ARE SOME PHOTOS I TOOK AT THE APOLLO IN MANCHESTER WHEN DEF LEPPARD CAME TO TOWN (23/2/03)
