STUCK ON YOU [2003] Matt Damon, Greg Kinnear ; R 12A

Matt Damon and Greg Kinnear are literally paired together for this goof ball comedy about a couple of conjoined twins on a quest to make something more of their lives. I'm a big fan of the Farrelly Brothers, I have been ever since 'There's Something about Mary', but it seems they have started to lose their touch of recent. 'Stuck on you', though fun and very enjoyable, rarely hits the same comedic highs as some of their earlier efforts (e.g. 'Dumb and Dumber').  The film is however, snappy, quirkily paced and genuinely heart warming, with the usual P.C. compliance bucket thrown right out the window from the get go. The films main problem, despite its charm, is its lack of belly laugh jokes. It would have only taken a couple of genuine laugh out loud moments to turn this film into something special, sadly the movie does come up short in that department and as a result fails to fulfil its true potential. Hopefully the Farrelly's next project will have a little more 'There's Something about Mary' in it. Not a disaster by any means, but frustratingly lacking in certain areas.
